Hurricane Dorian, a massive Category 5 Atlantic hurricane captured here on September 1, 2019, became the most intense tropical cyclone to strike The Bahamas in recorded history. The event was recognized as the country’s worst natural disaster.

A workflow to derive a time-averaged map using NASA’s Giovanni tool and publish the output as a web map and web application. Giovanni is a web-based application devel- oped by NASA’s Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center that provides a simple and intuitive way to visualize, analyze, and access vast amounts of Earth science remote sensing data.
